My opinion of care homes has completely changed since my Dad came to Waterloo. Everyone is so caring and it’s an amazing home. You have all changed my perspective as I always believed care homes were awful places to be”.
“I am always made to feel welcome when visiting Mum who is well cared for. There is always good interaction and communication from staff. I have no issues with Mum’s care. She is well looked after and considering has been bed-bound for almost 3 years, her skin is remarkable and in good condition. I would recommend the home to others”.
“The care given to my husband is second to none. All the staff are good with him even when he is grumpy. He is always clean, well fed and has plenty to drink. They staff talk to him when they are handling him and when just passing his door. I do not think he could be happier given the severity of his condition. I am always welcomed when visiting like a member of the care family. I do not have the words to thank you for all you do.”
“I spoken to my Dad this morning and I wanted to tell the home what he said to me: – “He had a great first night and could not fault the care staff. He said, “the two lads who were on night duty was lovely and were taking time to talk to him about the Cricket”.

“Waterloo is clean and well-maintained (a credit to Stuart, Jackie and the cleaning ladies) in the home. There is always an air of calm and contentment amongst the residents and staff. Staff are never without a smile and always ready to help. I’ve never seen a flicker of a fed up face. Management is always available, and Admin is efficient. I think a summer event in the garden for staff, family and residents would be nice”.
“I am so pleased that the care my husband is getting is first class. Everyone in the home is kind and considerate towards him, even when he shouts and causes trouble! I really appreciate the phone calls I get from the staff when there has been a fall or he has inured himself. I would recommend Waterloo to any family with a relative with Dementia”.
“Excellent show around the home by Trudi, answered all my questions and was very empathetic. The home appeared clean, homely and calm with a happy atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and welcoming”.
“I can not praise staff highly enough. My sister is so well cared for. Staff are pleasant and helpful. I can always phone or email staff if I have any queries when I am at home. My sister has been a resident here for many years and when I hear some of the horror stories from relatives who have family in other homes, I know how fortunate my sister is to be with you”.
“I have been visiting my wife now for 8 months and I find all the staff including Sara, Elly and Trudi to be friendly and helpful. They are all caring and I think my wife would say the same. I also find the food and cleanliness to always be good. I am glad my wife is here and I know she is being well looked after. I thank all the staff.”
